Zumba®

We take the “work” out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you’ll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Super effective? Super fun? Absolutely.

Benefits: A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.

Yoga (All Levels)

Students of all levels are invited to join these Vinyasa style classes, including students new to yoga! Vinyasa is a dynamic yoga practice that promotes focus by connecting movement with breath. Clear instruction is given in breathing technique, warm-up and flow with options to modify to your preferred level of difficulty. New students will develop body awareness, alignment and core strength through a progression of flowing basic poses, while experienced students are encouraged to explore advanced variations in familiar postures. This class will be offered on land and in the water!

Benefits: Yoga gets your blood flowing. More specifically, the relaxation exercises you learn in yoga can help your circulation, especially in your hands and feet. Yoga also gets more oxygen to your cells, which function better as a result.

Gentle Yoga

Not sure where to start?  Gentle yoga is right for you. This a great class for students looking for a more gentle experience, those who are new to yoga or those who need a change of pace.  This is also the perfect class for students with injuries or limitations.  You’ll be guided through postures in a slow, gentle way with modifications.  Props are encouraged to allow the body to fully achieve each pose comfortably. Give it a try!

Body Bootcamp

A fitness boot camp is type of group exercise class that mixes traditional calisthenic and body weight exercises with interval training and strength training. While there are a variety of styles of fitness boot camps, most are designed in a way that pushes the participants harder than they’d push themselves and, in that way, resemble a military boot camp. This bootcamp class will be designed to use mostly body weight exercise, although we could be using light weights and elastic bands.
